DTCC WIN T20 CUP
The Club has won the inaugral Bedfordshire T20 Cup !!
The Finals Day was held at Flitwick last weekend (14th Sept). After some recent league disappointment, it was time to celebrate as DTCC were crowned Beds T20 Champions after a thrilling 4 run victory over hosts Flitwick.
DTCC posted 153 with 40s from Sam Cherry and Brad Matthews and a rapid 27 from Luke Cherry. In reply Flitwick went off like a train and were 56 from only 6 overs. A great spell from Mike Alston kept Dunstable in it, going for only 14 from his 4 overs, half the economy rate of any other bowler on the day. However, Flitwick were still looking odds-on, needing 30 to win from the last 5 overs with 8 wickets left but the Cherry boys took the two crucial wickets of Hart and Thurstance, both bowled beautifully with slower deliveries. The pressure was on the new batsmen and wickets tumbled with run outs featuring prominently. Brad bowled the last over with 11 needed for victory and held his nerve magnificently to finish the season in some style.
Earlier in the day Harrold had been seen off in the semi-final in some style, DTCC winning by 96 runs.
Well done You Old Boys...

Guess who's back...
The 2013/14 season will see DTCC welcome back some old faces.
The Baby-faced Badger, Sam Cherry, has returned from his time at Tring Park and dons his whites for Lancot Park once again. He joins the returning Bradley Matthews (Papplewick and Linby CC) in becoming the first two signings for the coming season. Both bring Premier league experience and are hoping to boost Dunstable's promotion push this year.
We are still hopeful to bring in some key individuals over the next few weeks or so.
