Following the success of the Sunday 1st XI last week in being Beds Champions, the Saturday 1st XI gained promotion from Division One to the Championship for 2016.

The team needed to win their final game against Knebworth Park. Batting first the visitors were dismissed for 155 and in reply Dunstable seems they would falter but a last wicket stand of 23 between Mark Rochester and Mike Alston saw us home.

It was a very close finish as we finished 2 points ahead of Kings Langley (who had 1 point deducted in May against Dunstable for taking a wicket after the 3 hour time limit).

Well done you old (and not so old) boys ! Mavellous !

The Sunday 1st XI are Premiership Champions.

The poor weather on the last Sunday couldn't dampen the spirits of the Dunstable 1st XI as the title deciding game against Lutonians was abandoned leaving Dunstable as Champions.

Well done you old boys !

The Club has won the inaugral Bedfordshire T20 Cup !!

The Finals Day was held at Flitwick last weekend (14th Sept). After some recent league disappointment, it was time to celebrate as DTCC were crowned Beds T20 Champions after a thrilling 4 run victory over hosts Flitwick.

DTCC posted 153 with 40s from Sam Cherry and Brad Matthews and a rapid 27 from Luke Cherry.  In reply Flitwick went off like a train and were 56 from only 6 overs.  A great spell from Mike Alston kept Dunstable in it, going for only 14 from his 4 overs, half the economy rate of any other bowler on the day.  However, Flitwick were still looking odds-on, needing 30 to win from the last 5 overs with 8 wickets left but the Cherry boys took the two crucial wickets of Hart and Thurstance, both bowled beautifully with slower deliveries.  The pressure was on the new batsmen and wickets tumbled with run outs featuring prominently.  Brad bowled the last over with 11 needed for victory and held his nerve magnificently to finish the season in some style.

Earlier in the day Harrold had been seen off in the semi-final in some style, DTCC winning by 96 runs.

Well done You Old Boys...
