Saracens Rugby Tickets
Watch some great rugby and save the Club some money too...

As you will know, Saracens Rugby Club sponsor the Herts League.
As part of this deal if we sell 24 tickets this winter, then we receive 4 free balls per team and our league sub is waived. On top of this, any further sales of tickets provides the club with more free balls (1 ball per four tickets).

Last year we sold our allocation (just) but still paid almost £600 for our Herts League balls. This year we'd like to pay a lot less.

So if you want to see some rugby at Saracens this winter and want to help the DTCC finances (especially if you are a season ticket holder), please make sure that when you book the tickets, that you tell them the sales need to count towards DTCC's total.

If you are a season ticket holder, please can you make sure that Saracens are aware of your connection to DTCC and also tell Adam Stearn so we can register it with the League.  Your registration counts as 1.5 free balls for the Club - Thank you. (Although how we use a half ball remains uncovered in the laws).

If you know any other season ticket holders who might want to help us by registering their home sales please let Adam Stearn know too.

We will be running a Club event to Saracens later this year to take up our minimum 24 ticket allocation. More details to follow. Any offers to organise it ?

Letter from Herts League:

Saracens Herts Cricket League Sponsorship 2008-09

As you saw in the poster sent to you in August, we are continuing the Saracens ticket scheme launched last year, which requires your club to buy tickets for Saracens home matches but in return you get free cricket balls and your club’s league subscription is waived. This is all part of Saracens’ sponsorship of the League which continues to pour money into our league and into your club.

Your members have a part to play in making the scheme work for your club, by buying its allocation of tickets for Saracens home games. Tickets sales are not restricted to your players, if they can persuade family, friends, or work colleagues to buy tickets, they all count towards your club’s target. With Saracens’ new international recruits and their attacking style of play, a visit to the Vicarage Road stadium is a great way to spend an afternoon.

The Deal – Sell Just 6 Tickets Per Team!

The deal is simple! Each club needs to sell just 6 tickets per league team (priced from just £15 in the North Stand) spread throughout the whole rugby season. So your club can arrange for a club day out and get members to buy lots of tickets for one match; or you can get an enthusiastic member to buy tickets to attend six different matches. As a bonus, you can have one free child ticket for every adult ticket purchased.

We will review ticket sales at the end of January and any clubs that have failed to meet their target will be sent as many tickets as necessary to meet the shortfall, for the match against Wasps on 29th March 2009.

How To Buy Tickets

As usual, individuals should buy their tickets direct from Saracens, so they can be recorded and credited to your club. Simply call Nav Kumar on 01923 204605 and make sure you tell him which is your club. You can also e-mail Nav on: navinkumar@saracens.net

It would help us if you can e-mail Tony Rhodes at anthonycrhodes@aol.com to record all your members’ ticket sales.

For those tickets that are sent out for the Wasps match, other than ordered by individuals, clubs will be invoiced by the League and it is up to the club to settle with the League and
re-sell the tickets to members and friends.

Season Ticket Holders

For clubs with season ticket holders, they are exempt from individual ticket purchases (i.e. one season ticket = 6 regular tickets) and they also earn their clubs extra rewards.  If you have not already done so, please e-mail Tony Rhodes with details of any of your members who are season ticket holders, quoting their Saracens customer numbers.

Early bonus prize

There is a bonus prize offered by Saracens for the club which gets the scheme off to the best start this rugby season.   They are offering a scorecard from the Test match against India at Lords in 1990, famous for Graham Gooch’s score of 333, and the card is signed by the former England captain, so would be a prized asset, displayed on the wall of your clubhouse.. The card will go to whichever club sells the most match tickets for the first three games of the season. Season tickets will be included. The matches are against Newcastle, Northampton and Llanelli Scarlets.

No Subs & Free Balls!

As last year, the package of benefits for your club outweighs the costs.   By selling 6 tickets per team and therefore enabling the League to meet its target for ticket sales, your club will not have to pay a league subscription next season. The additional feature is that clubs will automatically receive 4 free cricket balls per team - or 6 balls for each adult season ticket held by your members!  In addition, as a further bonus, teams will receive one free ball for every additional 4 tickets purchased, above the minimum target figure.

Please see the attached full breakdown of benefits and costs – and don’t forget, as well as these, the top two clubs in every division will share prize money from Saracens of £5,650!

Below are the matches which count towards your ticket target over the next few months.

Thanks for supporting the Herts Cricket League and for supporting Saracens.

Yours sincerely
