LETTER FROM TONY JOHNSON , CHAIRMAN HERTS LEAGUE

TO ALL CLUBS

 UMPIRES & SCORERS “TASTER EVENINGS”

 The need for all clubs to have more in-house umpires and scorers grows year on year, so we have organised four evenings around the county to help clubs plan ahead.

The evenings will start at 8pm and last for around 1½ hours and will include short presentations from Alan Price and Brian Mulholland on what you need to know about the two disciplines, how to get involved, details of the courses required, and, if required, planning an in-house club workshop.

We will end with a session for questions, and at each venue the bar will be open.

Please publicise these dates within your club so that we get maximum coverage. Alan, Brian and I am prepared to run these events on your behalf, but it is very much in your interests to help us promote the need for more people to take up umpiring and scoring, as I am sure you already know.
