Are you passionate about producing exceptional cricket surfaces?
Dunstable Town Cricket Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grounds-person to lead the maintenance and development of our outstanding facilities at the beautiful 14-acre Lancot Park.
Recognised as one of Bedfordshire's leading community cricket clubs, we host a thriving programme of senior, junior, women's and girls' cricket, alongside county representative fixtures. We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in preparing first-class playing surfaces and wants to help maintain our reputation as one of the county's premier cricket venues.
The Role
You will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of:
Two high-quality cricket squares
Cricket outfields
Award winning Football pitch
Practice facilities
Landscaped grounds and surrounding areas
Working closely with the Chairman, Facilities Manager and volunteers, you will ensure our grounds are presented to the highest possible standard throughout the year.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
Proven experience in sports turf or grounds management
Excellent knowledge of cricket pitch preparation
Experience operating and maintaining ground care machinery
High standards with exceptional attention to detail
A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the cricket season
A full UK driving licence
Qualifications in Sports Turf Management, ECB Grounds Management, PA1/PA6 or experience preparing county-level cricket pitches would be an advantage.
