MANY THANKS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS

Maintaining a club of our size requires a significant amount of activity and we rely heavily on the ongoing support of our volunteers to make it happen. Much occurs behind the scenes, so let's showcase a few recent improvements.

  • A big thank you to Phil and Nutz for transforming the score box into a locker-room for the second pitch. This is undoubtedly a significant enhancement.

  • The 30-year-old wooden site screens for the first pitch were in urgent need of replacement. To accommodate the slope, we required a custom solution, which has recently been delivered. Many thanks to Lee and Rob for organizing and assembling them.

  • Due to recent investments in grounds equipment, such as a new scarifier and tractor, we needed to enhance our security. A big thank you to Lee for organizing the installation of new security shutters for the tractor shed.

  • Thanks to Phil, Nutz and helpers, for running a BBQ at last Fridays Colts Training and raising over £400 for the Indoor Net Refurb fund.

It is no overstatement to say that our cricket club could not exist without our volunteers. They are integral to the heart of our club, from the occasional helpers who tidy up after sessions, to the team managers, fixture secretaries, grounds and facilities staff who make sure matches can go ahead, to the coaches, scorers, and umpires who facilitate play, to the fundraisers and the committees who sustain and develop the club.

All these roles, and many others not listed, are essential. If you have something to offer, however small and would like to get involved, then please do reach out to one of the committee, or take the link below.
